The Traveling Sisterhood: Oreo Cookie Turkeys! A Fun and Delicious DIY

Oreo Cookie Turkeys! A Fun and Delicious DIY

My daughters had so much fun the other year when we stopped by the grocery store and discovered the opportunity to make these super cute Oreo Cookie Turkeys. They're very easy and delicious. They'd be the perfect DIY to keep little hands busy at a Thanksgiving gathering. Now to find that delicious Halloween candy corn!
Ingredients
Double Stuffed Oreos
Mini Peanut Butter Cups
Malted Milk Balls
Candy Corn
White Frosting

Directions
Reference the pic above and:
1 Place one Oreo cookie as the base. Put a bit of frosting on top in the middle.  We use Duncan Heinz white.

2 Place one small peanut butter cup on it's side on this frosting glue.

3 For the 2nd cookie, stick some candy corn into the Oreo 'stuff' along one edge for the feathers -- pointy side down. They should fan out around the edge. If you have trouble doing this, you can help them stick with some more white frosting (which is what we did).

4 Smear more frosting behind the peanut butter cup on the 1st Oreo and on the back of the peanut butter cup.  Place the second Oreo cookie (the tail) on it's edge and sticking to a dab of frosting on the back of the peanut butter cup.

5 Place a dab of frosting on top of the peanut butter cup. Place a malted milk ball on top for the head.

 Your Turkey is Complete!
