I can't tell you how thrilled I was to see this movie!  Corrie Ten Boom is one of my favorite women in history, such an inspiration, such an incredible woman with a true story filled with danger, faith, hope against all odds, miracles even... simply amazing.  It totally was a stirring film--Mr. Clark definitely got it right when he said "soul-searching" and "breath-taking".

 Netherlands, 1940s

A bright young physics student, Hans Poley, decides not to join the Nazi party. To protect him, his parents force him into hiding in the home of Corrie ten Boom. While in hiding, he sees the atrocities toward the suffering Jews and decides he must do something to put an end to it.



In Return to the Hiding Place Hans is drawn by resistance fighter, Piet Hartog, and love of Piet's life Aty van Woerden, Corrie ten Boom's niece, into an intricate web of espionage and clandestine activities centered in the famous Hiding Place.

As part of Corrie ten Boom's army of untrained teenagers, Hans, Piet, and their friends route a deadly labyrinth of challenges to rescue the Jewish people in their modern-day, panicked exodus from death while embarking on a nonstop, action-packed hunt with the underground involving Gestapo hijacks, courageous rescues, codes in windswept old windmills, and stunning wonders in one of history's most famous dramas. Climaxing in the true, breath-taking rescue of an entire orphanage of Jewish children marked for mass execution by Hitler's assassins, audiences will both cheer and weep at this exciting, sobering tale of Hans and the youth movement that dared to resist one of History's cruelest Dictator.

    I would love to see this movie. My niece is named after Corrie Ten Boom and I didn't know this movie was out. Additionally, I didn't even now "fishflix" existed! Thank you so much for leading me to that site - it will definitely make family movie night a lot easier! : )
