Once you're ready, you send in a form that comes with the Butterfly Garden for your 10 free caterpillars and their food. Ours arrived safely and quickly ate and grew, forming cocoons on the lid of their container. You simply unscrew the lid and attach it to the side of the Butterfly Garden so that they can come out about 6 days later. |
Nine butterflies in all, they were simply gorgeous. It was so interesting to watch them drink the orange juice and the flower nectar up close. |
Do you see it? |
Every child should experience this! It is so amazing! |
One of you will win the Giant Butterfly Garden because I have extra Edubucks to spend on you! It comes with even more than mine did--you also get lifecycle figures which is a really cool bonus. |

What a beautiful experience! I love butterflies and can't help but think of the change we go through in Christ when I see one!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful shots.
ReplyDeleteMy kids hatched butterflies in Kindergarten. It was fun.
Oh this is so neat! We did this last year and raised monarchs and released over 100. It really is such a wonderful experience for the kids! I little one loved watching them spin and emerge! I am waiting for the Monarchs to arrive this year here...my milkweed is huge.
ReplyDeleteI remember watching butterflies hatch during a school lesson. It was amazing.
ReplyDeleteWe did this in elementary school, and it was so cool. My nephew would flip over something like this.
ReplyDeleteI did the butterflies with my 5 kids when I was homeschooling them as kids. I look forward to doing things like this with our grandchild that is on the way in March, as soon as he or she is old enough.
ReplyDeleteHow fun! My mom actually made something similar to this for us when we were growing up! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a great experience for kids! Do they send the caterpillars by mail when it's the right season? Because having to let them go in the winter would not be good....
ReplyDeleteYep, you order them with a form once you're ready. We're saving ours for spring. :)
DeleteThanks for the opportunity. I plan on doing this with my boys whether I win or not :)
