The Traveling Sisterhood: Smells and Sweet Memories with Downy #ProtectClothesYouLove

Smells and Sweet Memories with Downy #ProtectClothesYouLove

This is a sponsored post for SheSpeaks/P&G. All opinions are honest and my own.

I hadn't used Downy since growing up, and was I ever in for a pleasant surprise. Instantly after washing my clothes with it, the familiar April fresh scent I remembered from my childhood wafted up and brought back such sweet memories.
I wore my favorite blue shirt the first day after I tried the Downy and, all day long, I smelled that scent and remembered. Swinging with my little brother. Building snow forts in Michigan drifts, staying out until dusk. Playing hide-and-go seek. Walking along the railroad tracks, wondering where they would take us if we just kept on walking.  My brother passed away over a decade ago, making those kinds of memories even more sweet. It's nice to be reminded of them, and smells have a special way of bringing back fond memories.

Memory factor aside, Downy has a lot of other stellar qualities.  Not only does it have that pleasant scent, but it helps to keep our clothing looking vibrant and new.  That's a must for any mom, and especially this mom with four kids who seem to go through clothes like crazy! They love to wear bright colors and I love that Downy Fabric Conditioner has them looking nice and new. Besides that, one of my daughters is especially like her mama, very sentimental about certain things. She has favorite clothes she wants to save even after she outgrows them. It's nice that we can keep them looking new even when they become vintage.

WHERE TO FIND IT
You can find Downy Fabric Conditioner at the most convenient retailer: Walmart, super affordable in the laundry aisle, or at Walmart.com. You only need to add a tiny bit to your laundry... I added a cap full in my first load, but it really doesn't need that much. I see this bottle lasting me at least 3 months, and that's at one very full load per day. At $7.32 for 105 loads, that's only about 7 cents a load! Definitely worth that price!

With just one cap you protect your clothes, keeping them looking newer longer. It's fabric softener that's conditioner for your clothes.
Add Downy Fabric Conditioner to your laundry routine to #ProtectClothesYouLove!  Let me know if you've tried it or will be soon.

  1. Oh how I love the smell of downy but all of our family has sensitive skin and breaks out in hives...trust me I've tried! Even going as far as diluting it lol

    1. I was a bit worried that would happen to us--but it didn't. We have to use free and clear detergent, but we're good to go with the fabric softener. ;)
